Have you tried the cotton gloves with pebble grips? I love them and you can get a really good grip with them, for me better then with leather gloves. But since you don't think it's your gloves another thing is could you just be letting your grip loos...
Goat skin is generally used for anything that you would make out of leather but need softer than cattle leather. Kid gloves are an example. They are very soft, supple leather gloves.
